In Need of a little inspiration?

Scotland is famed for its warm welcome, awesome landscapes, vibrant culture, rich heritage, myths and legends.

As Martin Dorey writes in his book ‘Take the Slow Road Scotland’

“If anywhere is perfect for a road trip it is Scotland. It has great distances, great views, great people and some of the greatest landscapes in the UK”.

It has some of the most beautiful scenery in the world.  From its deepest loch, to its highest mountain, to its oldest building, there is nowhere quite like Scotland.

Eagles, ospreys, and red squirrels live in its forrests. Whales, dolphins, otters and seals swim in its seas.

Exploring the capital or discovering Scotlands remote destinations you are guaranteed a memorable trip.

It’s not just about the scenery

Readers of Rough Guides voted Scotland the ‘worlds most welcoming country and favourite destination’. Whether propping up a bar in Edinburgh, or trekking the hills of GlenCoe, you’re sure to feel a warm Scottish welcome from whoever you meet.

A road trip in Scotland is without doubt the best way to explore the ‘most beautiful country in the world’ as voted for by renowned travel guide, Rough Guide.

Then there is the famous North Coast 500 route. Bringing together a route of just over 500 miles of stunning coastal scenery in the far north of Scotland, the North Coast 500 is one of the most spectacular journeys you can drive in the world. It follows along the coastal edges of the more northern highlands of Scotland including the regions of Wester Ross, Sutherland, Caithness, Easter Ross, the Black Isle and Inverness-shire. The NC 500 starts and ends at Inverness Castle and if you’re lucky- you may get to spot Nessie – our very own mythical legend. With all it’s beauty and wow factors along the way, its no wonder that this route is described by many independent sources as the best road trip on the planet.
