Location

The Staycation Scotland VW campervans are conveniently based in Glasgow, central Scotland. The beauty in hiring a campervan is that you can drive and explore wherever you desire. Wake up with a mountain view, stop for a coffee break in a forest and fall asleep by the sea. The freedom of choice is what makes this such a unique experience. You can drive the Nc500, take a trip to Skye or explore Glencoe and the best part is there is no limit on milage! There are also no distance limitations, if want to drive to the magical Cotswolds in England… you can! To help with where to park each night, we highly recommend downloading the Park4night app. It showcases all the places you can park plus the different facilities and costs of each spot. It comes in so handy!

SPACE

The Staycation Scotland campers are Volkswagen T6.1 transporters which are brand new with bespoke interior. You will be wowed when you see how modern and stylish they are. The inside resembles something of a First Class Cabin onboard an Emirates flight. It’s compact but highly functional and sophisticated. If you want to travel Scotland in style, this is exactly how to do it!

Staycation Scotland’s campers are a growing fleet which includes the beautiful Delilah camper (photographed). Inside she has a fully kitted out kitchen, a snazzy rock and roll pull out bed, a small wardrobe and sliding curtains. Everything has been carefully considered and well designed to ensure comfort, functionality and privacy.

Something that will really impress you is how the space can be transformed to suit your needs. The roof pops up and the front passenger seats spin around to open up the space. A table can also be easily clipped onto the counter top to create a dining area. In the warmer months you can set up a table and camper chairs outside expanding the space even further. Plus you can also add on an awning (at an additional cost).

On the technical side of things everything is so straight forward and easy to use. Enjoy apple play whilst driving and even wifi in the van. There is also heating and air conditioning which is a huge plus!

SLEEP

The rock and roll bed is extremely easy to pull out. We would recommend bringing a mattress topper if you have one and a quilt or sleeping bags for on top. It is surprisingly really comfortable and you will have the cosiest of sleeps. The camper can actually sleep 4 as when the rooftop is popped up it creates a second double bed. How cool is that?

Food

The kitchen facilities are fantastic with a fridge, two ring gas hob, gas oven and grill plus all the necessary utensils. Enjoy a home cooked meal or stop in a town or village for the night to dine out. It’s great that you can enjoy a drink without having to worry about getting home.
